Personal Ops is a private tool used by one person, its author. It has no other users, no sign-up, and collects nothing from visitors to this page.

Google data it accesses

The application requests a single OAuth scope, https://www.googleapis.com/auth/tasks, which grants access to the Google Tasks of the account that authorises it. It requests no other scope, and can therefore not read mail, files, contacts, calendars or profile data.

How that data is used

• It creates and updates tasks that mirror entries from the author’s own private Asana project, including their title, due date and a reference back to the source entry.
• It reads the completion state of those mirrored tasks so that ticking one off on a phone marks the source entry as done.
• It moves the due date of unfinished mirrored tasks forward.

The application only ever modifies tasks it created itself, identified by a reference stored in the task notes. Other tasks in the account are read past and left untouched.

Storage and retention

The application runs on the author’s own computer. Google credentials (an OAuth client identifier, secret and refresh token) are stored in a single permission-restricted file on that machine and nowhere else. Task data is not copied into any database, log or backup, and is not retained after a run finishes.

Sharing

No Google user data is transferred to any third party, sold, used for advertising, or used to train any model. There is no server, no analytics and no tracking — on this page or in the application.

Personal Ops’ use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Revoking access

Access can be withdrawn at any time from myaccount.google.com/permissions. Doing so immediately stops all access; tasks already created remain in the account and can be deleted by hand.
